History and Future Combined: Walking the Land Where Jesus Walked

 The land of Israel is the focal point of all history, past and future. In it, the Bible comes alive and our future becomes clear.  It will be our home.

   Join Pastor Pat and Pam as we travel to the land of Israel from Sunday, February 26, 2023 to Friday, March 10, 2023. Visit Caesarea, the place of Paul’s two-year imprisonment and harbor from which he took the Gospel to the world. Live the story of Elijah on Mt. Carmel; Jesus’ ministry around the Galilee (including a boat ride on the Sea); be baptized in the Jordan River; walk the streets of the Old City of Jerusalem and trace the final hours leading up to Jesus’ crucifixion; and experience the powerful remembrance of His resurrection and empty tomb!  And so much more.....

   Trip cost includes all travel in Israel by coach bus, hotel accommodations, buffet breakfasts and dinners and four lunches, entrance into all sites on the itinerary, all tips, guide, and trip health insurance. Your only additional costs will be a few lunches and souvenirs.  

 Cost for a group of 21 or more is $3740 plus airfare for this 13 day trip (11 days in country).  

A digital view book with historic and Biblical information, daily schedule and readings will be provided for each person. A daily blog with pictures will be posted for friends and family to follow our journey. The trip lasts a few days but the memories and teachings will last a lifetime.

Our First Big Day

 This Tuesday represented our first real touring day.  It was also a day where many of our folks are feeling the effects of jet lag.  Everyone did very well today despite feeling a little exhaustion.  It is a blessing traveling with this group. Our day began with an 8:00 am departure, following the path Peter would have taken from Joppa to Caesarea.  We discovered the difference between a theater and an amphitheater as Nir told us of concerts which have been presented at the 2nd Century theater of Caesarea.  We were wowed by the fresh water large pool that was a part of Herod’s sea-side palace.  A stone confirming Pontius Pilate’s existence as governor stood nearby Herod’s palace. We pictured Paul giving his defense before Festus, Felix and Agrippa below the platform at the hippodrome.  A short visit to the harbor area and we were on our way to Mt. The Journey Begins…….

  Welcome to our family and friends who are joining us on our journey.  This weekend we make our way to Tel Aviv in order to begin the trip of a lifetime, walking where Jesus walked.  The sights, the sounds, the unique people that we will meet, will all help the Bible come alive for us as we traverse the Fifth Gospel, the land of Israel. We are grateful you have joined us.  Starting next Monday, February 27th I will be posting pictures and a summary of our day’s activity for you to see.  We will be seven hours ahead of you so it will be available starting around 3:00 or 4:00 in the afternoon your time each day.   I know each person going with us is filled with excitement and anticipation.  Pray for us, that the Lord will open our eyes and hearts to all that He has prepared for us. Preparing for the Journey

In front of the waterfall at En Gedi Where water was stored inside Jerusalem The Scriptorium area at Qumran Walking the Western Wall road Looking over the Jezreel Valley at Nazareth En Gedi - David’s hideout from Saul      We will be walking at least 10,000 steps per day.  I have said it numerous times.  Closer to 20,000 other days.  SO, the first thing to do to prepare for a pilgrimage to Israel is to walk, walk, walk.  Walking the mall several times per week through the winter months would help.  Or walking a treadmill at home or gym.  But make sure you have prepared yourself by walking.  It will make for a more pleasant trip.    Second, we recommend some reading and watching to give you some background.  To understand modern Israel, I recommend reading The Hope and The Glory by Herman Wouk.  They are two historic novels that trace Israel’s history from 1948-1967 and then from 1967 to the late 1980’s.  It gives...
